The Winner’s Kim Jin Woo talks about the reasons he decided not to reveal to his group friends the passing of his grandmother
Winner‘s Kim Jin Woo revealed that Kim Jin Woo did not speak to his group of friends about the passing of his grandmother.
On the March 25th KST airing of Channel A’s “Oh Eun Young’s Gold Counseling”, WINNER made a guest appearance. On the day of the broadcast, WINNER members shared the following:
It’s been 2 years since we’ve met as an all-inclusive group.
Here Lee Seung Hoon has said:
“There are certain things we can discuss in a public forum however there are things that we don’t speak about. It’s not to fight with one another however, we must stay within our limits to a certain degree. However, I’m not certain what’s the right way for us to keep this boundary.”
In response, Kim Jin Woo stated:
“Teams may break together or last for an extended period. The reason I believe we don’t talk about our inner thoughts with one another is to ensure that we don’t give reason for arguing.”
Kim Jin Woo then opened the door to talk about himself. He said:
“I was thinking that I was a confident person however something awful has happened to me in the last few days. I don’t think that I’ve been able to keep myself up.”
Kim Jin Woo then revealed for the first time:
“My grandmother passed away last week. I’ve been telling myself that I have to get myself back on track and be more active however this isn’t working. However, I don’t believe this is an issue I could get help for.”
It was clear that the WINNER participants, having had heard this for the first time, could not be able to help but feel in a state of confusion and anger as to the reason Kim Jin Woo had not given them this crucial aspect. When they inquired as to why they didn’t hear from him, Kim Jin Woo replied:
“It was not on my list even once to tell anyone. Now when I think about it, I am wondering why I didn’t let them know.”
As a result that Dr. Oh Eun Young diagnosed him as having an insecure avoidant and said:
“It’s also known as the avoidant type, however those with this type are usually extremely positive about themselves. But, they’re not very open about opening the door to others.”
