BLACKPINK participates in the Queen’s birthday Celebration on the British Embassy in Korea

On the 26th of May, BLACKPINK attended Queen Elizabeth II‘s Birthday Celebration as well as the Platinum Jubilee (the Queen’s 70th year as ruler) on the British Embassy in Seoul, South Korea.

The K-pop group from around the world was present as ambassadors for the United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change, which took place in November last year within the UK.

On the day of this event the BLACKPINK’s Rose delivered a speech to congratulate the queen on her birthday and celebrating the Platinum Jubilee, which marks the Queen’s 70th anniversary of service.

Rose spoke in the name on behalf of ALL BLACKPINK members:

“We would like to express our gratitude for the Embassy for giving us this chance to be ambassadors for the COP26The COP26]. We are extremely grateful that we were invited to attend with you the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty.”

After that, Jennie invited everyone to join her for an evening of toasts at the queen.
